Bridgetown.
The Barbados Sanitation Service Authority (SSA) is being restructured, Minister of the Environment and Drainage, Dr Denis Lowe, says the restructuring process is part of the country effort to establish a green economy.
Lowe told Trakker News, the restructuring had already began with a review of the existing systems and the establishment of areas of priority.
Some of the areas identified for restructuring included the SSA's administration, the human resource management, its collection, mechanical and commercial services.
Lowe said, the senior management position at the SSA will be changed from general manager to chief executive officer and an office will be established to deal with human resource management.
