The construction work on the St John Polyclinic is expected to be completed by the end of June.
Minister of Health John Boyce made the announcement while touring the health facility yesterday.
Boyce said the controversial polyclinic, which will to be named after the late Prime Minister David Thompson is expected to be fully operational in the final half of this year.
The medical facility will housed a general practice, a HIV/AIDS programme, a pharmacy, an ambulance service, an amphitheatre, a consituency council office, a school eye-clinic, a dental clinic and a community mental health programme.
Several health officials accompanied Boyce on his tour of the polyclinic, inculding Permanent Secretary in the Health Ministry, Tennyson Springer and senior medical officer, Dr Elizabeth Ferdinand.
