Bridgetown.
Hundreds of starfish washed in at Browne's Beach, Bay Street in Bridgetown this afternoon.
Accoding to a official of the Coastal Zone Management Unit, (CZMU) the presence of such a large number of starfish on the beach may be a result of adverse weather conditions in other areas, and expressed concern that sea bathers were removing them from the water to take home.
“Please put them back in the water,” the official urged, while explaining the starfish were a part of the natural eco system and would die if they were not returned to their natural environment.
