Georgetown: The Education Ministry is calling on schools to cease withholding timetables from students preparing for this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examination.
The Ministry says it was informed that students were denied their timetables owing to payment of fees for school-based activities.
It is urging teachers to ensure that all students writing the CSEC examination are provided with their timetable in a timely manner.
Thirteen thousand, six hundred and fifty-four students have been enlisted to sit the CSEC examinations this year.
Records show that some students are taking as many as twenty subjects at this sitting.
