Teachers of the Alexandra Secondary School remains on strike for the third week despite holding talks with Prime Minister Freundel Stuart over the weekend.
President of the Barbados Secondary Teacher's Union(BSTU) Mary Ann Redman, told Trakker News the teachers from the school will meet at the union headquarter's at Belleville, St Michael this morning.
Redman said plans to escalate the strike action to involve more schools remained suspended pending further discussions.
Over the weekend, Prime Minister Stuart and several senior officials from the Ministry of Education met with a delegation from the BSTU at his residence Ilaro Cour for over two hours, Redman in a statement to the press described the meeting as "very productive,"
Government officials have remained mum on the nature of the discussions.
