Georgetown: 16-year-old student Sasha Gilhuys was shot to her left shoulder when she resisted to give up her cell phone to three armed bandits on Lamaha Street about 22:20hrs last night.
Gilhuys was awaiting transportation to get to her Roxanne Burnham Gardens home when three men on bicycles demanded her cell phone. One of the men shot Gilhuys when she resisted and escaped with the cell phone.
Gilhuys was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation nursing a gunshot wound as police continue investigations into the matter.
