Students benefited from Labour Ministry summer attachment.

Georgetown : During the August vacation, 30 students were engaged in the Secondary Schools’ Work Study attachment, and at the end of their stints, the Labour, Human Services and Social Security

The five-week attachment allowed students from schools such as North Georgetown, St. Joseph and Cummings Lodge to gain accurate knowledge that can be applied to the work field. Some of these students will be offered employment within the Ministry.
A representative of the Labour Ministry brought the students up to scratch with the  ‘Labour Laws and You’ and were advised to become familiar with the various Labour Acts before venturing  out into the world of work.
