Georgetown: Police arrested a person in connection with the murder of a 23-year-old Navindra Samaroo who was killed last Thursday at Middle Road, La Penitence Georgetown.
Reports indicate that the suspect is the mastermind behind the robbery and gunning down of the marketing agent.
Police source noted that the suspect had told the perpetrator who committed the robbery that Samaroo would have been transporting a large amount of cash when he was attacked.
A post-mortem examination conducted on Samaroo’s body on Tuesday last, showed that he was shot once in the arm. However, the bullet didn’t exit his body, but deflected into his chest and severed an artery.
Investigations into the crime continue.
