Teachers support striking colleagues

Bridgetown.

Teachers from three secondary schools joined their striking colleagues from the Alexandra School yesterday at Barbados Secondary School Teacher's Union Headquarters yesterday on the fifth day of the strike by teachers of the Alexandra School against principal Jeff  Broomes.

There was standing room only when teachers from the Alleyne School, Queen College and Harrison College converged on the location.

The teachers, had originally planned to conduct lunch time meetings until the end of the school day as the BSTU intensified its industrial action.

However letters written by several principals to members of the union staff informed them that  meetings on the school premises during their lunch period only.
