Teenager pushed from moving car succumbs to injures, boyfriend in police custody

Georgetown: A clerk of Ramada Hotel, Providence, East Bank Demerara (EBD) succumbed to her injuries after being allegedly pushed by her boyfriend from a car on Lamaha Street Georgetown on Sunday night. She reportedly died on Tuesday.

Dead is Sasia Adams, 19, a former student of the Anna Regina Multilateral School, who is originally from Pomeroon but later moved to live in East Street Georgetown.

Adams was in a white 212 motor which was driven by her 21 year old boyfriend. He resides in Diamond Housing Scheme, EBD.

The boyfriend initially told the police that while driving his vehicle on Lamaha Street, Georgetown, Sasia who was in the front passenger seat jumped out of the vehicle onto the roadway.

He then picked her up and rushed her to the Balwant Singh’s hospital where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where she was admitted.

However, police later discovered he was lying and he later admitted that the duo had a fight inside the car and she fell out while trying to escape a beating.
