Bridgetown.
Thieves are becoming a pain for nurses working at polyclinics across the island. President of the Barbados Nurses Association, Blondelle Mullin, last night described the situation at the Winston Scott Polyclinic in Bridgetown as worrying.
Mullin said,"We go to work looking after the health of the nation, and while we are at work, our possessions are being stolen or damaged. Nurses provides a vital service to the community and they must have security at the workplace."
"We want security at these polyclinics especially the ones that are open late, she added.
Yesterday someone damaged a car of a public health nurse park on the compound of the Winston Scott Polyclinic.
