A corpse discovered this morning in the vicinity of the Queens’ College ball field at Thomas Lands, Georgetown, has been identified as Sean De Freitas Sookdeo, 25 years, of Mon Repos, ECD.
The Guyana Police Force confirmed that Sookdeo’s body “was found with suspected gunshot wounds…at about 06:00hrs today”
A Post Mortem Examination is expected to be conducted shortly.
He is said to have been shot to the head, hand and abdomen.
Sookdeo reportedly also had burn marks to back of his head
He was wearing a black jersey and khaki long pants at the time of the discovery.
His body was observed in a clump of bushes in the locale adjoining the National Park.
