At about 10:15am today the driver of a motor pick-up attached to Bosai Minerals Group, lost control of the vehicle while travelling in the East Montgomery Mines at Linden and ended up under a heavy-duty lorry that he was in the process of overtaking.
As a result, the heavy-duty lorry ran over the pick-up crushing the occupants inside.
Driver Michael Williams, 45 years, of Kumaka Mines, Linden; Trenton Gardner, 62 years, of Industrial Area, Linden; and Kester Grant, of Block 22, Wismar, were pronounced DOA, while Fabian Anthony and Marlon Pollydore have been admitted to the Mackenzie Hospital in serious condition.
Investigations are in progress.
