Vanica Schultz, 15 the student of Mae’s who committed suicide on Thursday was alive when she was rushed to the hospital. A customer care personnel who assisted in pumping her stomach was present when she spoke to a doctor at the Woodlands Hospital. It was how the doctor knew she had ingested carbon tablets. While trying to save her the personnel explained that she was at a critical stage when her stomach was pumped full of a black substance. The carbon had already eaten away at her organs he explained. Ask whether there was a chance had she been brought in earlier, the medical personnel said perhaps but she took alot of the poison. Reports are that the teachers were hesitant after the student started vomiting profusely and it took awhile before she was rushed to the hospital. A source at the school had suggested that she overdosed on ecstacy which was quickly dispelled by the school administration. What caused the young student to take her own life is the question left unanswered although many speculate the motive. (Photo stabroek news)
