There is too much marijuana on Barbados' streets, this opinion was expresssed by prominent attorney at law Sir Richard Cheltenham QC, last night.
In an address to the St James South constituency branch of theopposition Barbados Labour Party (BLP) Sir Richard said.
"It is no secret how the marijuana comes into the island and who is involved in the distribution, yet nothing is about done it. I am more concerned with the impact this drug has on our young men and the fact that a lot of them now act contratary to our national motto.
Sir Richard, a former Govenment Minister in previous BLP administrations, told his audience the model of economic development of the past needs tweaking because the country's wage bill was low and the standard of living high.
