Tourism opportunities from Brazil

Barbados must take full advantage of the opportunties in the growning tourism market in Brazil.This is the advice of the Barbados Tourism Authority's (BTA) representative in Brazil, Gisele Abrahao, who told Trakker News that with the South American country's growing economy, more people are travelling and now was the time to woo visitors from Brazil to the island.

Abrahao said Brazilians' spending on international travel had increased by 785 percent in the last decade and was recorded at US$21.2 billion last year.

She highlighted several areas that attracted interest of Brazilian tourists, among them are late night entertainment, opportunties to shop especially for high end brands and a friendly environment. Abrahao said Barbados was an ideal place for visitors from Brazil.
