Port-of-Spain: Hundreds of companies from across Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean, Latin America and the wider world, including China, have set up shop at the Hyatt hotel in Port-of-Spain for the next four days, as the trade and investment convention begins.
The Convention seeks to bring together businesses to offer oppotunities for investments, partnerships and trade agreements.
The Convention has 200 booths, over 500 regional and international buyers, 2000 consumers and a history of US$450 million in trade deals in the last 10 years.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar opened the Convention which will run until Saturday.
