The Wigton Windfarm Limited (Wigton) will transform its resource centre into a training facility. University Students and professionals in the energy sector have over the past months benefited from training at the centre.
The centre currently boast of multimedia and electronic workstations to provide the training required and the hope is to make it a practical laboratory that will have apparatus and models to support the renewable energy training.
Wigton is owned by the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica and currently operates a windfarm with a capacity of 38.7 MW.
