Georgetown : A transformer this afternoon just minutes after 3pm went up in flames just opposite Republic Bank in Robb Street, Lacytown, Georgetown. Several taxis that were parked alongside the roadway barely made it off as the fire came crashing to the ground. At this time several school children were in the vicinity but no one was reported hurt.
The fire department responded within minutes and put out the flames.
