Transport Board workers fedup with union

Bridgetown.

Several workers of the state runTransport Board are threatening to leave the Barbados Workers Union (BWU) and join the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW).

They are angry with a back to work order from the BWU issued yesterday evening, in response to a strike by the workers early in the morning.

"We are not getting any advice from them, they are just talking and carrying us round in circles. They interest is to get us back on the job and then the same thing happens over and over again", a frustrated worker said.

"Really and truly we need representation, so if going to the NUPW gives us power to get representation, that is what we will do, because our voice must be heard", another worker told Trakker News.
