Berbice: Yesterday around 07:30hrs Corwin Duff was placed in a pen, tied and gagged and set on fire by three men. About 15 minutes before being set on fire Duff was approached by the three men in a vehicle. The men were identified by Duff as "Toutie", "Blackie" and Clevon Thomas. Duff said he was "liming" at the head of Main and Alexander Streets when the men approached him, saying they had a job for him in Tucber Park. Duff reportedly entered the vehicle and the men then proceeded to Thomas' house in Tucber Park where they tied Duff's arms and legs together with chains, threw him in a goat pen and set him aflame using gasoline. Duff immediately started screaming after which several residents came to his rescue. By this time Thomas and "Toutie" had already fled from the scene. However, "Blackie" was found with the gasoline and some matches, allegedly shouting remarks such as "di police can't touch mi, I bad like da". "Blackie", who refused to reveal his legal name to TrakkerNews, informed this reporter that Duff was set aflame because they believe he stole a sheep that belonged to Thomas. Duff is currently hospitalized, his condition being listed as critical but stable. Thomas and "Toutie" are still at large, as investigations continue.
