Port-of-Spain: Two men appeared in court this morning charged with the murders of three Central fishermen in the Gulf of Paria.
18-year-old Brandon Peltier and 26-year-old Jamaal Francis appeared before magistrate Marcia Ayers Caesar this morning.
The matter has been adjourned to February 16th. The relatives of the accused were also present in court this morning. The men have been charged with the murders of 31-year-old Kasinath
Ramsaran and his brother 26-year-old Ravi, of Cacandee Road, Felicity, and 45-year-old Praim Squires.
The men left home two Tuesday's ago on a one-night fishing expedition in the Gulf of Paria but never returned.
According to police reports, the murders took place on a date between the 9th and 14th of January.
The bodies of the three Central men were discovered in the waters off Port-of-Spain days after they went missing.
They were laid to rest last week amidst calls for the resumption of the death penalty.
