Over 200 jobs have been created at the Lanterns Mall at Hastings, in Christ Church.
Speaking at the official opening of the mall last weekend, Andrew Laquis, director of Windsor Plaza, owners of the mall to invited guests that during the construction of Lanterns a large number of jobs were created.
"Of importance now is the over 200 permanent jobs created in the retail sector at Lanterns", Laquis said.
He added that the mall that the location of the was considered ideal for a high-end retail mall built to international standards.
The mall was officially open by Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.
