Georgetown: Two pilots were killed this afternoon after a US registered plane crashed into a House after taking off from the Ogle International Airport, East Coast Demerara.
An Investigation has since been launched by the aviation control body. The craft has been identified as a twin-engine Piper Aztec with registration number N27-FT.
Reports disclose that the pilots were conducting survey work for the Amaila Hydropower Project.
The US-registered aircraft crashed into a house in Graham Street, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara with two crew members on board. The lone 69 year old Florence Tyndell escaped unhurt.
