The members of the Barbados Cricket Umpires Association (BCUA) last night voted to withdraw its services from all Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) until their fees are increased.
The umpires unhappy with the tardness of the BCA in responding to a proposal for a small increas in fees. They withdrew their services last weekend at the start of the BCA School's Under 19 competition.
In a meeting held at Queen's Park last night, 65 of the 67 umpires present voted to withdraw their services. Conde Riley the first vice president of the BCA said last nigh that officials from the Association would make an effort to meet with the BCUA to resolve the problem.
The BCA's domestic season starts season starts on Saturday.
