Unemployment in Barbados stood at ten percent for the first quarter of the year, according to statistics derived from Continuous Household Labour Force Survey conducted by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs.
The statistics released yesterday indicated that unemployment among men stood at 8.0 percent and 11.9 percent among women.
In the review period, the number of people employed were 130,900 of whom 67,400 were males and 63,400 females,the total number of unemployed stood at 14,500 5900 males and 8600 females.
