Pointe-a-Pierre: Massive protests outside of the Petrotrin compound this morning as hours after the end of the State of Emergency as the trade union movement kept good on its promise and has engaged in industrial action.
Hundreds of workers responded to the call from the Oilfields Workers Trade Union to down tools and join the protest on several outstanding issues.
Meantime at a news conference this morning president of the Banking Insurance and General Workers Trade Union Vincent Cabrera told the media that the trade union movement is ready to rumble after what he says was a period of drought.
They plan to hold a massive demonstration in Port-of-Spain on Friday.
