Georgetown: Guyanese have now become experts in cocaine smuggling, devising new and unusual methods in their trade, the concerns of a religious leader and secutity expert speaking to Trakkernews. The latest bust happened late yesterday afternoon after Canu officers and ranks swooped down on a Haslington home following a tip off. They unearthed some 200lbs. of cocaine stashed in Hindu religious items bearing false bottoms. The entire family was taken in for questioning. Investigators say that the shipment has a street value of half a billion Guyana dollars and was intended for Canada. Canu officers are trying to find a link to others who may be involved since, for a shipment this size, there must be others. The security services must be put on high alert, said the religious leader, since these busts often come with retaliation. Asking us not to publish his name the leader who also operates a security firm told Trakkernews that this is the limit, when Guyanese are going to use religious items to do their dirty work, it is a sign that people have lost respect for their Creator. Meanwhile other reports are suggesting that the find may be linked to the 3 kilos of cocaine found yesterday at the post office main branch, concealed in 3 letters.
