Alison Susan Louis, a 44 year old Vincentian police constable, was sentenced to three years in prison yesterday on illegal drug charges.
Louis , pleaded guilty to prossession of cocaine, trafficking in cocaine, prossession with intent to supply cocaine and imporation of cocaine. Louis who arrived in Barbados on Wednesday, was interviewed by members of the Drug Squad at the Grantley Adams International Airport, and was referred to Customs, where a search discovered two packages weighing one pound and containing cocaine were found in her underwear.
She received a CRD for prossession but was fined $75,000 or three years in prison for trafficking, possession with intent to supply cocaine and $50,000 or three years in prison for possession and similar fine for importation.
The fines were not paid, and the sentences will run concurrently.
