Bridgetown.
A wall constructed without permission by the Town and Country Planning Department at the top of Oistins Hill has been demolished by workers of the Ministry of Transport and Works
The agency took enforcement action yesterday bringing in heavy equipment to tear down the ten foot wall at the corner of the junction.
Reports from the department indicate that many motorists who use the area have complained about the structure.
Deputy Chief Town Planner, George Browne told Trakker News the wall was in breach of Town and Country Planning regulations.
Browne said an enforcement notice was served to the owner of the property because the height and placement of the wall posed a danger to motorists and pedestrians and he failed to comply.
