Warner complains about being sidelined in Cabinet

San Fernando:  Works and Infrastructure Minister Jack Warner has admitted that he is no longer being kept in the loop with regards to national affairs. He says he is only being informed through the media.

The minister's reltionship with the prime minister and his government colleagues has been under sharp focus in recent times particularly following the splitting of his former ministry of Works and Transport. The Transport portfolio has been given to the former chairman of the Public Transport Services Corporation, Devant Maharaj.

While he denies that there is any rift with the prime minister, Warner, who was once described as the most popular and hardest working minister, admits he is only made aware of matters through the media and not through his ministerial colleagues.
