There has been heavy rainfall over the last few days but Wasa workers are warning that taps could soon be dry if management doesn't sit at the collective agreement bargaining table.
Workers are now demonstrating outside the Authority's St Joseph headoffice. They are led by Public Service Association president Watson Duke.
Duke says residents should start conserving water because "Wasa will not be the same after today".
He is accusing the Wasa management of launching a frontal attack against his union and refusing to negotiate in good faith.
Police officers are on the scene keeping a close eye on protesters, a move which Duke describes as an attempt to intimidate.
