Water Park remains open despite loss of water connection

Rio Claro: The operators of Harry’s Water Park are tonight saying they remain open for business despite having their water supply cut off by the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) on Tuesday because of what wasa says was an illegal connection.

The park which is based in Rio Claro has issued a statement saying that while wasa has disconnected supply, the facility uses recycled treated water for the water slides and other facilities at the park.

The statement says that this water is also used for the washrooms but is not used for drinking or cooking adding that the managers have taken steps to ensure there is anadequate supply to run the operations.

The park operators say they are also taking the normal measures to ensure that all hygienic requirements are met. They say patrons would normally bring in their own drinking and cooking water or buy it from the park’s bar and food court.

The managers are meanwhile maintaining that the park did not have any illegal or unauthorised water connections and that the owners are meeting with their legal advisers to decide on a course of action.
