Georgetown: Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) has advised that more areas on the West Coast of Demerara are being affected by low water service levels due to electricity disruptions affecting GWI water production sites.
Further to the GWI is advising all customers on the West Coast of Demerara affected by low service levels that the company is providing full cooperation and assistance to the Guyana Power and Light Company to resolve all issues affecting GWI treatment plants and well stations.
The additional affected areas include Cornelia Ida, Anna Catherina, Leonora, Zeeburg, Meten-Meer-Zorg, Tuschen and Farm.
GWI apologizes to affected customers and wishes to assure that all measures are being taken to restore normal service in the swiftest manner possible.
