West indies star cricketer Chris Gayle willing to represent the Caribbean despite the dispute with WICB.

Georgetown: In a report released today, West Indies all-rounder, Chris Gayle, revealed that he still wishes to play for the Caribbean team, despite being repeatedly ignored by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) following the last ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.During an interview, Gayle stated that he is disappointed to be excluded from the West Indies team, noting that over the year his service to West Indies cricket has been wonderful.

Gayle’s dispute with the WICB began after the all-rounder opted to represent the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last Indian Premier League (IPL) rather than opting to serve his national team, which was scheduled to play Pakistan in a home series after the World Cup.
As a result, the Board ignored Gayle from the national squad and remained steadfast on the decision as the Jamaican player was further excluded from the Caribbean side’s later series against the touring Indians.
