Chairman of Williams Industries Ralph “Bizzy” Williams says he has encountered a number of delays in trying to two major projects off the ground and Williams Electrical will now have to layoff some on its staff.
Williams one of Barbados' leading businesssmen told Trakker News things are difficult and part of the problem is the Government's inability to pay for services provided by his group of companies.
"We are surviving, still paying our bills and still keeping our people employed but things are very very tough and our receivables are very very high.Williams Electrical will have to reduce some staff, yes, but we will try to keep the numbers small", Williams said.
"The projects are not there. I have two projects that I would like to start but I have been trying to get planning approval to do it for quite a long time and we haven't been able to get it up to now", he added.
