Rachel Pilgrim, 19, of Halls Road, St Michael, died on the spot last night after a car struck three pedestrians on the Princess Alice Highway last night.
The car ran off the road and into the fence at the back of the Nation Publishing Co. Limited, about 9.30 p.m.
The three injured women, one of whom was screaming and writhing in pain, were taken away by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
Two fire tenders responded to the incident and one of the women had to be cut from the vehicle by the Jaws of Life.
Up to late last night the police were on the scene carrying out investigations.
