East Bank Demerara : Bibi Samarooof Diamond Housing Scheme, EBD, was securing her home when she was held up by three men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
The 38 year old Samaroo held onto the man with the firearm and during the process was shot to her chest. She has been admitted to a private hospital for medical treatment.
The perpetrators took away a number of articles and escaped.
