Georgetown: Just a few days after the statistical statement was released by the main opposition PNC/R about the alarming number of women being physically abused, raped and murdered, another woman met a horrific end yesterday. In a bloody attack by her lover, 42-year-old Verone Patois was found dead at her New Amsterdam home. The killer Suresh Persaud, a taxi driver is now in police custody. Trakkernews understand that the women lived in a hellish relationship with the man for years, quielty taking all the abuse. According to relatives, the women never got the chance to be helped and suffered silently until her tragic death. According to concerned groups and women organizations this is just one of many cases where women are too scared to come against abuses, as a result many suffer without the requires help.
